Scheduled programming will resume this evening, December 2nd, for all Resurrection locations.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
Today was such an amazing day, and I can only imagine how much more beautiful this trip will get. We started by visiting the preschool and doing devotions with them. We taught them some songs that we like to sing at KidsCOR, and they taught us some of their songs back! Afterwards, the preschoolers flooded us with hugs. It was so heartwarming.
Right after, we did home visits in the village of Mooiplats with “Jars of Hope.” These jars contain food that can feed 4-6 people, all they need to do is add water and boil!
We returned to the plot and split into 2 teams. One team went back to the preschool and read them books, and sang fun songs with them. The other team stayed on the plot to work on basic computer skills/internet safety with the 6th-7th graders.
At 6PM, we headed to Westview Methodist Church to join their congregation for “soup & roll.”
They provided 4 different types of very delicious soup! The kind your grandma makes.
It was great meeting all the board directors of Ditshego, and seeing all the faces that are behind the scenes making the change in the world possible.
In return, we did their dishes for them. It was an amazing day with amazing people. We are very excited to spend more time with the children tomorrow.
