Prayerful Joy Makers

On Saturday morning, March 7, gather with others in the parlor to pray and create something meaningful for women in recovery. Pastor Claire Saunders Clough will guide us through a brief prayer practice before we spend the morning assembling joy boxes for women in recovery. These boxes—filled with simple items that spark delight and comfort—will be surrounded with prayer as we put them together. We’ll provide boxes, tissue paper, and thoughtful items to include, though you’re welcome to bring small contributions like tea, journals, pens, or notecards if you’d like. Leawood congregant April Durnell, who has a gift for creating prayerfully curated gifts, will share her approach to assembling packages meant to bless and encourage those who receive them. This is a chance to slow down, pray for others, and create something meaningful together. The morning runs from 9 to 11 am.
