KVC Girls Shelter– The money will be used to purchase and install 2 heavy duty washing machines. The benefit to the girls is learning life skills and independence.
Hillcrest Ministries Youth Transitional Housing– Funds will be used to purchase educational supplies for the 16 homeless youth in the program. Items to be purchased as needed for current and new youth; desk, school supplies and educational toys for children living in the apartment with teen parents.
The Single Mom KC: Clothed with Dignity- Funds will be used to offset the cost of the Learning to Lead Program. There are 4 components taught: Equipping, Vulnerability, Accountability and Prayer. There is a kickoff retreat in January 2023 and then once a month meetings.
Kansas City Suicide Awareness & Prevention Program– Funds will be used to host one of four gatherings for stakeholder organizations and mental health professionals fighting to eliminate suicide in the KC region.
The Salvation Army– Funds will be used to purchase pool passes for lodge residents.
Turn the Page KC– Funds will help to fund the Equitable Access to Humanities in KC. The program is focused on parents and families in KC neighborhoods to provide support, resources and services to increase literacy.
GROW: Grace Restores Overcoming Women– Funds will be used for GROW brochures and marketing materials. The objective is to share information to bring awareness to the needs of women coming out of incarceration.
Neighbor2Neighbor– To fund the need for ongoing services to the homeless. They provide meals and guide “neighbors” to other resources for people experiencing homelessness.
Girls on the Run KC– Funds used for scholarship funding to improve and support accessibility and inclusion allowing a team of ten girls to flourish in the Greater Kansas City service area.
Rightfully Sewn– Funds will be used to purchase sewing kits at $250 each for graduates of the program.
