Mass Incarceration / School to Prison Pipeline

  • Journey to New Life–  Funds to be used to provide “Substance Free Educational & Recreational Community Fellowship” for women coming out of incarceration. The services are available to current residents and graduates.
  • The Village Initiative– Funds will be used to support The Youth and Parent Café, whose purpose is to reach families in
    creating a environment of healthy communication and self sufficiency. The program is for
    juveniles and at-risk youth.
  • Youth Guidance– Funds will support two culturally responsive programs; (BAM) Becoming a Man & (WOW)
    Working on Womanhood. These Circles create a safe, supportive space within schools  for students determined to be higher risk and lower served.
