Fall Kick-Off is coming! Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 16, as we celebrate the beginning of fall and the back-to-school season at all Resurrection locations. Whether you’re gearing up for a new school year, settling into autumn routines, or just ready to reconnect after summer adventures, stick around after worship for great conversations and that fresh start feeling that comes with fall. No matter which service you attend or which location you call home, plan to hang out a little longer on Aug. 16. Summer’s been great, but fall’s going to be even better when we’re all together!
Celebration Moments in The Wesley Chapel Open House
Aug. 23 | 9 AM - 5 PM | Resurrection Leawood
Before the current Wesley Chapel is renovated into a center for care and counseling, we invite you to return to this space for a time of celebration, remembrance, and prayer. If you were baptized, married, or celebrated the life of a loved one here, stop by to reflect and give thanks, and bring your family, small group, or friends along. Spend a few quiet moments remembering your baptism, light a candle in memory of someone you love, take a photo near the altar where you were married, or simply come and pray in gratitude for what God has done in this space.

Answer God’s call to serve in 2027 through Resurrection Global Serve Trips. Whether building relationships and serving communities in Honduras and Costa Rica, or working alongside our partners, making a difference in Malawi and Uganda, these mission trips offer meaningful ways to share God’s love through direct service. Each mission trip, whether near or far, allows you to be the hands and feet of Jesus while serving others in our community and around the world.

Juneteenth Celebration
Jun. 20 | 4 PM | Resurrection Lee's Summit
Allies for Racial Justice presents the annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20, from 4 to 6 pm at Resurrection Lee’s Summit, commemorating the end of chattel slavery in the United States. The evening features a presentation by Dr. James Leiker, “The Underground Railroad: How Free was Kansas,” musical performances by Isaac Cates and One AcCORd, and a display titled “The Hidden History of the Black West” that expands the story beyond what most history books tell. This is a family-friendly event open to all, and a meaningful way to mark a day that changed American history.

Registration is open now for Vacation Bible Camp 2026! Kindergarten through 5th graders across all Resurrection locations can look forward to a week packed with games, music, hands-on activities, and new friendships—all centered around this year's theme: GOAL (Go Out And Love). Morning and evening sessions will be available to fit your family's schedule.

RESURRECTION STUDENTS: BIG WEDNESDAYS
Wednesdays | 6 to 9 PM | Resurrection Leawood Student Center
Every Wednesday this summer, 6th through 12th graders are invited to the Leawood Student Center for an evening that runs from 6 to 9 pm. The first two hours are packed with activities, from tie dye and foam parties to silent discos and paint nights, and the final hour brings the group together for Bible Study. The whole summer wraps up with Summer Baptisms on July 29.
