New Podcast Launching Nov. 6, 2024

New Podcast Launching Soon!

Over the last few years, we’ve also been considering how Tuesday Vespers might have a broader reach, connecting with both thoughtful Christians, but also with people who have questions and doubts, non-religious and nominally religious people, something that would be easy for you to share with your friends or family who don’t go to church. We would like to keep the same conversational feeling of Vespers but take it up a notch in terms of quality and make it available to people who don’t use Facebook but do listen and watch podcasts.

We’ve had several people looking at this, and meeting with a consultant who has helped develop some of the leading religious podcasts in the U.S. As they asked about my passion as a pastor and our passion as a church, the answers focused on helping people make sense of life, faith, the Bible, theology, spirituality, religion, and ethics including challenging moral issues.

Beginning after the election, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, we’ll launch this new podcast. We’re tentatively calling it, “Making Sense of Faith,” or “Making Sense of Religion” though we’re still nailing this down. It would have the conversational feel of Vespers but come in the format of a podcast. We’ll take on questions and topics that will interest both Christians and non-Christians, and I hope to reach a broad audience and, I hope, draw listeners to Christ and consider getting involved in a local church. The week it launches, the topic will be the two things polite people are not to talk about, “Religion and Politics.”
