Dual Anon is a Twelve Step fellowship for family and friends of people who experience a dual disorder of chemical dependency and emotional or psychiatric illness. Living with the problems of another person’s dual disorder may be too much for many of us. We often neglect ourselves, our thinking becomes distorted and we try to force solutions. Families coping with these two no-fault diseases often feel alone and uncertain. Sometimes families try to help in ways that end up making the situation worse; others won’t know what to do. Dual Anon understands the chaos that dual diagnosis brings to families.
