Costa Rica - Day 1

Day 1

We started with a game of Tetris to fit all the luggage and stuff. In the back, on the roof, in the aisle, or in your lap!

We headed to the Starbucks farm. We all have a better appreciation for why coffee is expensive. To learn they have to cultivate the plants for three years before seeing a fruitful harvest. We reflected on things we may take for granted in a land with different cultures. And understand their world a tiny bit more.

We then drove to the mission site and settled in. Picking bunks and bathrooms. Learning who had fans and pillows and who didn’t.

We had dinner and fellowship with the other group from South Carolina. We are ready to start w week of serving, reflecting, learning and showing
