Church programs for Monday, Jan. 22 will resume their normal schedule at all locations this evening.

Each year, we invite you to make a difference in the lives of children and families around the world through our Global Education Sponsorship Program. This annual initiative allows you to directly support our partner schools in Uganda, Malawi, South Africa, and Honduras. Your contribution provides essential resources for these schools. To learn more and to make a donation, click the button below. There you’ll be able to find out how to give a one-time gift or set up a recurring monthly donation.
Starting September 29 through October 27, we are participating in the “Raise the Bar Against Hunger” protein bar drive to support the Backpacks for Hunger program. We are collecting kid-friendly protein bars to be distributed to children in need through this initiative. You can pick up the “Raise the Bar” door-hangers at your Resurrection location. We invite you to place these door hangers on your neighbors’ doors to spread awareness about this drive and inform them how they can contribute. Your participation in distributing these door hangers can significantly impact our community outreach. By spreading the word, we can collect more protein bars and provide essential nutrition to children in need.
Monetary donations will ensure students in need will receive a backpack food bags all school year!
This holiday season, we’re thrilled to offer a variety of volunteer options for you and your friends!
Whether you’re looking to participate in Serve Saturday or help serve Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, there’s something for everyone!
Join us in honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during our MLK Serve Saturday events on January 18 and Monday, January 20. In the spirit of Dr. King’s powerful vision of social justice, equality, and community empowerment, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and make a meaningful difference in our community through various service projects. Our events are designed as easy, low-commitment ways to make a positive impact on your neighbors in the metro area. Try something new or enjoy a familiar favorite. Either way, you’ll experience the powerful impact of helping others by becoming God’s hands and feet right here in Kansas City.
Serve by using your gifts and talents both inside and outside the walls of the church. Each of us is given spiritual gifts and natural abilities that we can use to serve others and glorify God. The church is the Body of Christ, and each of us is a member of the Body. We are all invited to carry on Christ’s mission in the world, to meet the needs of the people. Whether you are gifted in teaching, helping, encouraging or something else, God is counting on you to touch the lives of others as you serve God.
If I were asked to come up with one word to describe Mission Ministries in 2023, it would have to be growth! Fueled by fantastic January weather, the year began with a record-breaking MLK Serve weekend marked by 2,000 individuals honoring Dr. King’s legacy by participating in community service projects across the metro. In February, you followed that up with a robust response to our 2023 domestic and global serve trips invitation and a Sack Hunger drive that yielded the equivalent of 118,512 pounds of food between monetary and physical donations.
