Serve Saturdays are more than volunteer opportunities—they are a way we grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. When we step into our community to serve, we are living out our faith, practicing love of neighbor, and allowing God to shape our hearts through acts of compassion and humility.
Come serve with Resurrection’s dedicated staff and partners, discover the organizations faithfully strengthening our city, and find meaningful ways to put your faith into action. Together, we can reflect Christ’s love, build a stronger community, and create lasting change.
Join us and be part of the Resurrection Mission.
This season, neighbors across our community are coming together to help local food pantries provide warm, hearty meals to families in need. Whether you fill one bag or gather a few from your family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors, every can of HEART-y soup is a simple way to love one another and care for our community at large.
Join the community-wide effort and pick up a bag at any Resurrection location!
Join our Community Justice Ministry for a hunger-awareness event, “Loving One Another in Our Hungry World.” We’ll be looking at food insecurity in metro KC, our region, our nation, and around the world and what organizations are doing about it. The event will include a ministry fair with exhibitors from local, regional, and national organizations involved in hunger-response.
From our Overland Park food pantry to our mobile food truck, we’ve served thousands of meals across Kansas City. Join us in fighting food insecurity, one meal at a time.
We’re closing the opportunity gap for kids in Kansas City, partnering with 12 local schools to provide books, tutors, and weekend food. Join us in giving every child a future with hope.
From foster care and transitional housing to construction repairs and mobile food deliveries, we meet practical needs across KC. Join a team that’s making a tangible difference in our city.
A toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste may seem small, but for neighbors without routine oral care, they’re a real gift. Hear how Resurrection Overland Park volunteers packed hundreds of dental kits for Health Partnership Clinic, and how you can help pack more at Family Serve Night.
The people we set out to serve often end up discipling us. At Resurrection, we believe service is discipleship, and there’s a place for you in it. Come serve with us with an open heart and discover what God might teach you along the way.
Over 60 volunteers gathered on September 9 to launch the 2026–2027 season of Backpacks for Hunger, Resurrection’s weekend food program for students facing food insecurity. In week one alone, the team assembled 1,756 bags for nine Partner Schools — a number expected to grow past 1,900 bags a week as more students enroll.
