There are more than 13,000 families in Kansas City struggling to find affordable housing. Further, many of our non-profit neighbors also struggle to make facility improvements that would help them better serve our community.
Helping Hands Construction Ministry
Our Helping Hands Construction ministry is looking for volunteers of all skill levels and from all of our locations. This ministry meets the first & third Saturdays of each month, primarily to assist local non-profits and occasionally help church associated families. Email HelpingHands@cor.org to get put on their contact list or sign up with an upcoming Serve Saturday.
Residential Construction Ministry
We are excited to work alongside Habitat for Humanity who partners with families to provide strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Through their partnership, each family has the opportunity to build or rehab and purchase their own decent home with an affordable zero-interest mortgage.
If you’d like to come alongside Resurrection members already engaged in home building with Habitat for Humanity, we will host occasional events and we would be happy to put you in touch with our crew who works on Wednesdays. If Wednesdays aren’t an option for you, or you’d like to volunteer at a ReStore, we encourage you to sign up directly with Habitat for Humanity Kansas City or the Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity in Eastern Jackson Co.
