The World Cup is coming to Kansas City, and soccer is a sport of passion, precision, and purpose that the world calls “the beautiful game.” This June, you’re invited to discover how this Beautiful Game can lead us toward a Beautiful Life as together we explore what soccer reveals about our faith. A beautiful life is formed, not by accident, but through practice; it’s ordered, with rhythm, structure, and rules that govern how we play; it’s shared, because we were never meant to go it alone; and best of all, it’s given away, because God calls us to go out and love and leave it all on the field. Join us for the next four weeks as we explore what soccer reveals about following Jesus and discovering the life we were made for.
This summer, our annual School Makeover is taking on a new shape—and a new address. Rather than working inside a school building, we’re heading into the Argentine neighborhood to serve alongside The Hub, a remarkable community gathering place built around knowing your neighbors and working together toward real, lasting change. Through a community market, clothing pantry, community garden, and a new commercial kitchen, The Hub is cultivating economic opportunity and shared resources for the people who call this neighborhood home—including the more than 350 Methodists from many different cultural backgrounds who gather there for worship each week. Our role this June 3–10 is to help refresh and strengthen the physical space that makes all of this possible. If you’re looking for a way to show up for Kansas City this summer, this is a meaningful place to start.
Big things are happening every Wednesday this summer at the Leawood Student Center for 6th through 12th graders. Starting June 3, Big Wednesdays runs each week from 6 to 9 pm, with activities like tie dye, foam parties, silent discos, and paint nights, followed by Bible study to close out the night. The summer wraps up on July 29 with Summer Baptisms. It’s a fun way for students to build friendships and grow in faith all summer long. Find out more by clicking the button below.
Two things are on the calendar for young adults and college students this summer. On Tuesday, June 2, from 6 to 8 pm, young adults from across Resurrection are gathering at the Brookside location for a block party with food, lawn games, and a few hours to hang out. Then on Sunday, June 7, the 10-Week Reset kicks off, a Bible study led by college students and built around Alpha for College Students, running through August 9. It meets on Sunday nights at 6 pm in the Student Center and includes dinner, open conversation, and small group discussion exploring the basics of the Christian faith. The study is open to anyone in college, including those home for the summer or new to Resurrection. Learn more about each of these events by clicking the buttons below.

Join Pastor Robert Johnson for two powerful immersion trips that trace the sacred and sobering events shaping America’s journey toward justice. In March, explore Tulsa’s Greenwood District and the Osage Nation. In November, travel from Little Rock to Memphis, where ordinary people made extraordinary choices during the Civil Rights Movement. These aren’t tours—they’re pilgrimages designed to challenge and change us through guided reflection, prayer, and conversation, equipping us to love boldly and serve courageously today.
UPDATE: The Human Rights trip to Tulsa and the Osage Nation is now full.
