The Beloved Women’s Conference returns February 6-7 at Resurrection Leawood and online, bringing together women of all ages for two days of connection, inspiration, and community. This year’s theme, “The Garden: A Future Filled with Hope,” explores Jeremiah 29:11—God’s promise of plans for a hopeful future—through the voices of two compelling speakers: Cole Arthur Riley, author of This Here Flesh and creator of the Black Liturgies project, and Emily P. Freeman, known for The Next Right Thing and her thoughtful approach to everyday faith. Whether you’re looking to deepen existing friendships, find encouragement for the road ahead, or simply spend time with women who get it, this conference offers space to connect with others and discover how to cultivate hope in your own life.
Join us in honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during our MLK Serve Saturday events on Saturday, January 17, and Monday, January 19. In the spirit of Dr. King’s powerful vision of social justice, equality, and community empowerment, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and make a meaningful difference in our community through various service projects. Our events are designed as easy, low-commitment ways to make a positive impact on your neighbors in the metro area. Try something new or enjoy a familiar favorite. Either way, you’ll experience the powerful impact of helping others by becoming God’s hands and feet right here in Kansas City. To learn more and sign up, click the button below.
These trips connect you directly with our long-term global partners who are already making an impact in their communities—you’ll build relationships, serve alongside local leaders, and witness firsthand how sustained partnership creates lasting change. From construction projects to educational programs to community development work, each trip offers hands-on opportunities to live out your faith while learning from the incredible people you’ll serve with. If you’ve been thinking about going on a mission trip, this is your chance to take that step.
A Church Conference will be held on January 27, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Student Center (Leawood). Voting is open to church members present in person, and no registration is necessary. For more information, contact Dan Entwistle. To attend via Zoom, use the link below. If you’re joining us on Zoom, you will be able to watch the meeting, but voting isn’t available online.

Join Pastor Robert Johnson for two powerful immersion trips that trace the sacred and sobering events shaping America’s journey toward justice. In March, explore Tulsa’s Greenwood District and the Osage Nation. In November, travel from Little Rock to Memphis, where ordinary people made extraordinary choices during the Civil Rights Movement. These aren’t tours—they’re pilgrimages designed to challenge and change us through guided reflection, prayer, and conversation, equipping us to love boldly and serve courageously today.
UPDATE: The Human Rights trip to Tulsa and the Osage Nation is now full.
