Join other artists the first Saturday of each month with the Resurrection Art Guild. The Art Guild is a place where artists gather with other artists (both established and beginners) who want to enjoy, share and learn more about our God-given artistic talents. At each gathering, we have a presenting artist that shows their work, gives a short bio, and demonstrates a technique or leads us in a project. We share our love of art with each other, enjoy refreshments and learn from one another. Our presenter on November 4 is Anita, a nationally recognized visual artist based in Kansas City. Anita’s portraits are known for their ability to evoke emotion and her unique hatching technique. Her work has been published in American Art Collector and by The New York Times.

Each year all third graders are invited to participate in a special ceremony during worship where they are presented with a Bible of their very own. This special gift from their church comes with a challenge to read one of the four books of the Gospel as we approach Christmas. There is also a retreat the following Friday night where each child along with a grown-up will enjoy food, fun, and faith as they explore how to use their new Bible together!
Registration is required even if you can’t attend.
