Partner School Drive
This school year, Resurrection is mobilizing all nine Kansas City area locations to support local Partner Schools, and there are three ways to get involved. Stop by any Resurrection location to pick up a bag, fill it with the requested school supplies, and return it to help put the right tools in students’ hands before day one. Want to go further? Sponsor a classroom for year-round support that extends well beyond August, including educational resources, weekend meal bags through Backpacks for Hunger, and teacher appreciation. And if you’re looking to invest your time, volunteer opportunities are available in classrooms where you can tutor, support teachers, and build ongoing relationships with students.

“Remember Me?”: Celebrating Foster Care Graduates and Lasting Connections
“Remember me? I was at Bright Futures!” Those words captured the heart of a Pathways graduation celebration honoring 22 young adults aging out of foster care. The day was a reminder that while resources and services matter, lasting transformation happens through relationships, encouragement, and people who continue showing up long after an event ends.

60,000 Backpacks and a Prayer
More than 60 volunteers came together at Resurrection Leawood to assemble the final 1,900 Backpacks for Hunger bags of the school year. In total, Resurrection provided more than 60,000 bags to Kansas City children, helping meet weekend food needs while sharing God’s love in a tangible way.
