Avenue of Life is an amazing organization whose mission is to mobilize our community to equip and empower low-income individuals and families to be self-sustained and independent. Volunteers will be assisting with our giveaway event, which includes serving breakfast, distributing clothing, and item from our food pantry to the community. Family Friendly!
Blessings Abound Thrift Store is a Christian not for profit organization called to serve the metro Kansas City Community by selling and recycling donated merchandise in order to provide aid to people in need. We will assist in setting up the NEW LOCATION! 12 & older
The Hub provides resources for the Argentine and Wyandotte County communities including a community market, clothing closet, community garden, and after school program. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and join us for a morning of working in Community Market (free grocery store) and Community Garden and prepping our physical space for all of our summer activities. 8 & Older

Join us as we serve at the Mission Adelante Thrift Store. Proceeds at this store fund the important work they do within immigration and refugee support work in our community. We will assist them with sorting donations, cleaning and organizing, and bringing a positive spirit to their store! Woodland Early Learning Center is a historic building in downtown Kansas City that serves 200 preschool children and their families through the Head Start Program. Come be a part of our team as we lend a hand with organizing the clothing closet or tidying up the school grounds with some weeding and planting! 12 & Older
KVC helps over 30000 people annually through family preservation, family reunification, outpatient therapy, foster care, and adoption. Come help us, help them! We will be doing some organizing in their warehouse that freely gives to families in need. 7 & Older
Hillcrest serves over 1,020 children, individuals, and families each year through its five residential sites in Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas and Jackson County in Missouri. Lend your heart and your hands to JVS and the refugees and immigrants they welcome. Volunteers ensure that JVS is able to engage, encourage and empower our newest neighbors. Help JVS provide much-needed items to their clients by sorting clothing donations in their clothing closet and household items at their warehouse. Cross-lines serves as a safety net for the community by providing direct assistance to at-risk families, the elderly, and single individuals struggling to make ends meet. We will be serving in Cross-lines’ no-cost grocery store restocking, cleaning, and preparing site for future deliveries. 12 & Older
With our goal to redirect over 1 million pounds of food in 2025, Kanbe’s Markets invites you to join us to help sort donated produce into our four redirection tiers: Kanbe’s Healthy Corner Stores – bringing fresh, affordable produce to underserved areas. Community Partners — providing fresh produce to over 40 local food pantries for neighbors in need. Animal Feed — supplying animal feed to nonprofit rescue farms. Artists Helping the Homeless (AHH) offers transitional and supportive housing programs for men struggling to find shelter often as a result of substance use disorder. AHH also administers a re-entry program that helps recently incarcerated individuals find housing, employment, and social support services. 16 & Older

Mother’s Refuge is a home for pregnant and parenting young moms that do not have a stable or permanent place to live. Weather permitting, we will work to update the yard and landscaping for fall and winter!
