FoodMobile

Launched in 2021, the Food Mobile was created to address the lack of access to fresh, nutritious food in Kansas City’s food deserts—areas where healthy food options are limited or non-existent. Our mission is to combat food insecurity by bringing essential items like dairy, eggs, meat, and produce directly to families in need. The Food Mobile provides a dignified shopping experience for individuals and families, ensuring they can access the nutritious food they deserve.

Through the support of our dedicated volunteers, we are able to reach underserved communities and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing hunger. Volunteers are needed to assist with checking in guests, helping with shopping, driving the Food Mobile, and restocking between stops. Whether you’re looking to make a one-time impact or commit to a recurring shift, your time and efforts will help make fresh food more accessible to those who need it most.
