Honduras - Day 8

Hello!
Today was our last day in Honduras.

We started off our morning with packing and organizing, and then saying goodbye to some of our amazing friends. We are so thankful to Cindy, Isabel, Bessy, Milton, Rigo, Renzo, and Guillermo for all that they did to make this amazing week happen. We had one last final meal together before we took off to the airport, where we said our final goodbyes as a team and separated our different ways to catch all of our flights back home.

For this final blog, I (Maddie) wanted to send a shoutout and thank you to all of our friends and family from all around the world who supported each and every one of us on this beautiful journey with Christ this week. For our closing blog, I wanted to do something a little special, so I asked each of the team members and some of our Honduran friends to share either their favorite thing or generally their experience of this week, in just a few words. We also had some amazing scriptures brought up, and I hope these can show you just a very small glimpse of how amazing and impactful our week truly was.

Bessy- I loved the fellowship and the connections with everyone.
Guillermo- Spending time with old friend and getting to meet new ones.
Rigo- Being able to see old friend again, and being able to teach music to the kids.
Cindy- Happy that everyone made it safe, and to share every meal with everyone.
Isabel- Having the company of everyone here.

Natalie- The fellowship with our Honduran friends is the highlight of my trip.
Nancy- The people are beautiful in both appearance and spirit.
Mary Lou- Getting and meeting my sponsor child.
Mary- It’s been a humbling and rewarding experience, that has strengthened me to become a servant leader.
Teresa- Meeting my sponsor child, and feeling the genuine love and gratitude from her and her family.
Judy- Meeting my sponsor child, and also meeting the truly amazing community.
Nathan- New adventure and new people.
Matthew- Remembering everyone and also them remembering me.
Maddie- I am so blessed to have gotten to spend time with all of these amazing and kind people for a second time. Picking a favorite thing is close to impossible, as this is just such an amazing trip. The connections I have made here are some of the most purest and strongest ones I will ever make, and that has to be my favorite thing.

Thank you so much again to everyone at home, and on the trip for all that you do. You are all amazing!
