Friday night we had an incredibly fun celebration of the start of work on the playground, complete with bounce houses, games, and a chance to pray over one of the new pieces of equipment that will be installed!
As I watched the community gather together for fellowship and fun, it gave me a taste for all of the opportunities we will have for kids to enjoy a safe and fun environment for play once installation is complete!
You may be wondering what we’ve been able to do so far – well, the first step was the removal of the trees (which were unhealthy on the inside and needed to be removed to meet safety regulations). While the weather has pushed back the start date of the project, we are currently scheduled to begin mid-July and hope to have the project completed by the time school starts! Stay tuned for more details (and pictures) as things get underway.
