Resurrection Art Guild at Overland Park - Aug

Join other artists the first Saturday of each month with the Resurrection Art Guild. The Art Guild is a place where artists gather with other artists (both established and beginners) who want to enjoy, share and learn more about our God-given artistic talents. At each gathering, we have a presenting artist that shows their work, gives a short bio, and demonstrates a technique or leads us in a project. We share our love of art with each other, enjoy refreshments and learn from one another.

Join artist Carol Rubsam on Aug 2, 10 am – noon at the Overland Park location: 8412 W. 95th St. Overland Park, KS

Carol is a KC artist, resident artist at Olathe Art Gallery in downtown Olathe, and teaches drawing and painting to area individuals.  She is also currently the art instructor for Aberdeen Village.

Carol specializes in portrait work and has developed some simple but effective guidelines for creating a face, and how to manipulate those guidelines to create a good likeness.

Attendees will need to bring a basic drawing kit… a tablet of drawing, (not sketching) paper, a kneaded eraser, and 5 pencils (4H. 2H, HB, 2B, 4B).  She will have supplies if someone needs something. And a “gift” tool to add to their supplies.
