Parenting is one of the most meaningful — and most challenging — things you’ll ever do, and understanding how your child’s brain works can make a real difference in how you navigate it together. On Saturday, April 11, parents and caregivers are invited to Resurrection Brookside for a practical, research-based presentation led by counseling interns from MNU, drawing from the widely respected book The Whole-Brain Child by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson. Starting with a light breakfast at 8:30 am, the session runs from 9–10 am and covers how a child’s brain develops, why big emotions so often override logic, and what strategies help you respond with both empathy and effectiveness. You’ll leave with a clearer picture of what’s driving your child’s behavior and real tools for supporting emotional regulation and connection at home.
