Prayer Ministry

Prayer is an important part of our spiritual journey.

Make a Prayer Request

Submit a prayer request using our online request form or by calling the church office.

Online prayer requests are shared with our volunteer prayer team, who will pray for your request, and will contact you if you request follow up care.

Prayer Before Surgery

Resurrection has pastors available to pray with you and your family before surgery or during a hospitalization. If you live within 50 miles of the Kansas City Metro, pastors are able to visit in-person for prayer pre-surgery or during a hospitalization. Please contact the Connection and Care office at 913-544-0728, or fill out the online request form with your hospital information. For pre-surgery prayer, please also include the date and time of your surgery. Due to HIPAA regulations, the hospital will not call and inform the church of your hospitalization.

  • Please check with your doctor to assure the hospital allows pre-surgery visits from a pastor.
  • If an in-person visit is not possible, pastors will make pre-surgery phone calls the day before or morning of the surgery.
  • For currently admitted patients, our pastors and care team will connect with you to offer care and support.
  • If a patient is approaching end of life, we will arrange a visit with the family

Places to Pray: Prayer Walk

Our Prayer Walk is located south of building A. The eight stations are on a path about one third of a mile, or the same distance as the Via Dolorosa—the path Jesus walked from Pilate’s court to the cross. The scripture, natural surroundings and art encountered at each station follow the mission and ministry of Christ. Click here to learn more about each station.
