Resurrection Kids Music & Choir

Resurrection Kids Choir is for children who are in Preschool (age 4 prior to Sept. 1) thru 5th grade. We meet at our Leawood location in Building B, room B200 from 10:10-11:10 am.

Kid’s Choir at Church of the Resurrection, Leawood is more than a rehearsal. It is a place where children are trusted with meaningful work, encouraged to grow, and invited to share God’s love through music and storytelling.

Our Pre-K through 5th grade singers come from busy lives filled with school, sports, lessons, and activities. Yet each week, they show up with purpose, learning how to commit, collaborate, lead, and support one another. Through choir and musical theater, children discover their voices, build confidence, and use the gifts God has given them in service of something greater than themselves.

This spring, Kid’s Choir is excited to begin rehearsals for our musical The Fab Four Kid’s Show by Christy Semsen. This joyful, scripture-filled production is packed with energy and nostalgia, offering something fun and meaningful for kids and parents alike, especially our 80s and 90s families.

Rehearsal Details

• Kid’s Choir Musical Rehearsal: Sundays, 10:10 am to 11:10 am

• 4th/5th grade CAST ONLY rehearsals (if called) 11:15 am to 12:15 pm

Location: Upstairs of the B Building, Room B200

Registering is simple. On the Sunday your child plans to attend rehearsal, please check them in at the touch screen systems downstairs and print their stickers to confirm they are attending choir that day.

• If you are attending Kids Sunday School for the 9 am service, please follow the process in their check-in room. A sticker needs to go the CHOIR sheet, giving us permission to bring your child to choir. If they are going to attend Kids Sunday School at 11 am, we will have special instructions when you check-in your child for choir at 10:10 am, giving us permission to take them to Sunday School classrooms.
