Sonflower Bakery

Matthew’s Ministry Sonflower Bakery provides an opportunity for adults with special needs to bake cookies, breads, scones and more, as well as share their gifts with others. Baked goods can be found at the Resurrection Leawood Spring Café, church events, in the community, and through special orders. Located at Resurrection Leawood.

To participate in the Sonflower Bakery, participants must be enrolled in the Sonflower Adult Learning Program, a day program for adults 21 years and older with special needs.

Want to volunteer?

We have volunteer opportunities in the Sonflower Bakery on Monday through Friday to assist participants to make baked goods. For more information, contact Taylor Beashore.

Thursday Community Baking Day:

The Sonflower Bakery offers a community baking day on Thursdays from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm. This is open to all individuals with special needs. Enrollment in the SALP not required. The participant must be assisted by their own helper/care provider. For more information, contact Taylor Beashore.
