Ash Wednesday services at all Resurrection locations will be held on schedule today.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
The day started with a nice breakfast and a quick tour of the camp, including the new offices, children’s playground, and even coffee plants! The camp roasts and sells coffee beans grown on-site. Tomorrow, half the group will have the blessing of working with the children from the community in the new playground.
Today was the first work day in Santa Marta — We were amazed at how organized the work site was especially with the number of folks serving (COR 17 and St Louis 15). Divided up into crews including electrical, painting, framing windows, and leveling. Work included preparation for a large cement area which included tamping, leveling, and framing. Luis the church’s Pastor gave the opening prayer including the Lord’s Prayer in Spanish so moving to hear it in another language.
We experienced a much-needed siesta between Noon and 1:00. Mike and Julie spent the evening with a nice dinner and devotion. We met Wil’s wonderful family and again enjoyed spending quality time together.
