Costa Rica - Day 4

Maggie and Jose started our day off with a nice devotion. We broke into two groups with one group staying behind and working with the children’s day care and the other group back at the Santa Marta church.

The project is coming along nicely with electrical, painting, and the large concrete area. Could we be at the rebar and pouring concrete stage tomorrow? Stay Tuned!

Daycare Blog
Some members of the group got the chance to stay back and help out with the daycare on-site. Kids were from ages 1-9. We started with a craft and spent lots of time on the playground just having fun with the kids. It was great just to see how interactive the kids were despite the language barrier. By the end of the day, both the kids and our team members had newly painted nails done by a new friend.

The banter among the group is so fun and lively with many of the group repeat Costa Rica volunteers. Lots of laughter that helps the hard work.

Tonight we had such an incredible experience. The group divided up
and went to dinner at local church family’s homes. Possibly the most fun part of the serve trip. What quality, caring, giving people. Having a chance to answer each other’s questions concerning family life, church life, and spiritual life.
