Honduras - Day 1

¡Hola!

Today is our first day in Honduras! Our team is comprised of 12 people, traveling from 4 states and 2 countries!

After some long (And early!) travel, we are excited to have touched down in Comayagua, Honduras, in the early afternoon.

After sharing a lunch, we made our journey to Tegucigalpa, where we arrived at our home for the week at the Mission House. We then sat down and spent time getting to know each other, our amazing translators and hosts, and discussing the plan for the week.

We then shared a lovely traditional Honduran meal of chicken, rice, beans, and avocado for dinner. Afterwords, we shared in a time of devotion, where we discussed a  section of the Weslian prayer, specifically focusing on “I am no longer my own, but yours”. After a beautiful discussion and connection to the scripture, we shared a time of prayer, and then a much needed rest.

We are beyond excited for what this week holds for us, and can’t wait to see God move in our lives amongst this beautiful trip!
