¡Buenos dias!
Today we got up bright and early to make it to participate in the Juan Welsey school’s Culture day. Prior to arrival, we all got up and prepared for the day’s spirit day…crazy hair day!
For their culture day, the students listened to announcements, sang the national anthem and said the pledge, and then a small group put on a small skit for everyone.
After the culture presentation, we then dispersed to our classrooms where we worked in 4 teams; Art, Music, Theater, and English. Each group has a few grades they will work with over the next few days in preparation for a presentation and fundraiser on Friday.
After classes, we had a lunch break, followed by VBS. The students have been working on memorizing and learning the books of the bible, and today we split into two groups to continue working on those. One group worked on painting some images from the bible, and the other worked on a Word Search of the books of the bible (or as we learned, they call a Word Search “Sopa de letras” –aka ‘soup of letters’).
We finished our day with dinner and devotions.
We are blessed to be here!
