Honduras - Day 6

Well, today was the last day of classes!  What an amazing week of learning and most of all connecting with amazing kids and teachers.  Tomorrow will be a day of celebration with those 7th grade and older, which meant today was the last day with those K-6th grade.  There were lots of emotions we experienced; sadness that we were saying goodbye to the younger children, but also a sense of awe knowing the ways God used us and will continue to use us as we stay connected to Honduras.  Here are some last-day-of-class pictures

Here’s how we do lunch each day!   A time to recharge, reconnect with one another, and build relationships with our amazing translators and other staff:

After lunch, we had the touching experience of meeting with the children and families that some have chosen to sponsor.  Still Waters youth group even decided to sponsor a child!  There are still children who are waiting to be sponsored by anyone interested.

This afternoon we finished our part of the work as we did construction-type work with the doors that led into the sanctuary of the church.  It was hard work, and fulfilling!

We closed the day meeting with the Honduras Methodist Program Director, his wife, and children.  They shared so many impactful ways the churches here are sharing Christ with their communities, and some of the challenges they face as well.  So many possibilities to make a difference!

We have experienced more blessings than we could ever count.  The people here are amazing and the children are absolutely beautiful.  We are so thankful for this opportunity to do God’s work!
