Ash Wednesday services at all Resurrection locations will be held on schedule today.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
Thank you to our family and friends for your prayers, support and encouragement.
This morning we woke with the help of a local rooster. It was great to have a good night of rest and the fresh fruit at breakfast was unbelievable!
We travelled in Kampala to see The Hub of our partners, Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS). UCSS has a new facility that they continue to build to serve the holistic needs of the community. It will be several levels and include a spiritual center, workforce development, counseling, economic sustainability and more.
We were so impressed with the UCSS team. They shared with us how they do their Bible study which includes reading a chapter of the Bible four times looking for different ways the words touch them:
1. What do I like and understand
2. What don’t I like or understand
3. What of Gods attributes do I see in these passages
4. How can I apply the message in my life.
We then traveled to Bilake with a stop for lunch and to see where the Nile begins. This is also where Lake Victoria empties into the Nile. The wildlife and history were amazing, even the spiders.
We are settling in at the mission house and preparing for our sessions tomorrow.
