Ash Wednesday services at all Resurrection locations will be held on schedule today.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
Worshipping in Uganda is filled with color, dance and praise music. It is active and loud. There’s a warm breeze coming through the palm branch walls and one can hear the children’s church just outside singing in unison and laughing with one another. As prayers, words of welcome and love are exchanged, it’s impossible to tell who’s more joyful to be together: the Ugandans or us. After Pastor Roxanne preached a message, one person gave her life to Jesus!
We see so many things as we travel to our various destinations. Today we saw a sign advertising a futball match and a KC Chiefs Kelce 87 jersey at a local market – Go Chiefs!
In the evening, our team shared presentations on preaching on the love of God, community transformation through counseling and entrepreneurial skills. Though we may be bringing teaching to UCSS, our entire team agreed during devotion time we are the ones who are truly learning during our time here. When we return, we aim to be more uninhibited in our worship, to be more fully present with the Lord and more patient.
Tomorrow will be our last full day at UCSS! The week is moving forward so quickly!
