Day 3

Our beautiful morning started out with the amazing crowing of two very loud roosters.  Who needs alarm clocks when visiting Africa!  Our first medical cooperative clinic with staff from UCSS Uganda Counseling Support and Services was at Nabisiki.  Over  400 patients were evaluated  & assessed with baseline vital signs, dental needs,& maternal health care. Not surprisingly malaria testing resulted in over 70% being positives. Physicians along with nurse practitioners provided prescriptions & our outstanding pharmacists & volunteers completed these orders. Words can’t adequately express the gratitude of our patients for our team providing care.  Additional words can’t express the gratitude of our serve staff being chosen by God to participate in this mission.

We finished the evening with Anne leading a great devotion and each of our us sharing our unique experiences from our first day of service.  Our next three days take us to three more remote clinic locations with many more blessings and new experiences to come!
