For thousands of our Kansas City neighbors, Christmas was little bit brighter this year because of the generosity of the Resurrection congregation. The congregation’s engagement in serving the community was higher than it’s ever been in the church’s 35-year history. Some of the many Joy in Serving activities during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons provided coats and winter warmth items, hot holiday meals, groceries including milk, eggs, produce and meat for families, meals for the unhoused, Christmas parties and gifts for children. Working with mission partners throughout the Greater Kansas City area and around the world, Resurrection is committed to loving our neighbors in tangible ways that meet real needs and offer hope.
