Meet the Student Ministries Staff

So, if you wonder where you belong in all of this, contact the staff at your location. They will listen to you and help you discover your place at Resurrection.  If you are a parent and would like more resources to navigate this stage of life, these same people are great listeners and can direct you to the people and other resources that will help you.

FAQ

Youth Group is the easiest entry point. The content is focused more on students who are just becoming familiar with being involved in the church. All weekly programming is structured around a small group experience that involves 8-12 students and 2-3 adults. Students who bring friends in the beginning tend to feel more comfortable initially. It takes 10-12 weeks of weekly attendance for students to know their peers and mentors well enough to want to come back.

First, express your interest in attending to a director. Retreats and trips are once or twice per year occurrences. Weigh these experiences against missing other commitments that happen more frequently. There may also be a waiting list for a retreat or trip that will allow attendance in case circumstances change.

For serve trips, the application link is part of the promotional material. Simply register for a trip, pay the deposit amount and apply for a scholarship. Scholarship applications are anonymous and are awarded on the basis of need.

For retreats and other events, talk with your location director. They will share the process depending on the particular retreat or event.

Student Worship Team YTHEEFFECT

YTHEFFECT is a group of middle school, high school, and young adult students who create and perform worship music. Our members write songs, record music, and lead worship services. If you’re a student or young adult who enjoys music and likes spending time with other students, we welcome you to join us. We’re looking for individuals interested in playing instruments, singing, or creating music. If you’d like to learn more or become part of YTHEFFECT, you can sign up for an audition or listen to our music by clicking the button below.

Resurrection Youth Music

Students in 6th – 12th grades can be part of our awesome musical groups: Vocal Effect Youth Choir & Youth Orchestra. No auditions are required, and there’s a place for everyone. (Invite your friends – you don’t have to be a Resurrection member to participate.)

Groups rehearse once a week and provide opportunities to make new friends, lead worship monthly, and tour on a fantastic mission trip each summer.
