United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith

We believe that love in action can change the world. At Resurrection, we do this through learning, service, sisterhood, and faith opportunities both within the walls of the church and throughout our community.

Each of our members brings their life experience, like colorful tiles, to combine and create exquisite masterpieces. Constantly changing, refreshing, improving…lifting one another up. United Women in Faith is a sisterhood acting in faith to tackle the hard work of the world without hesitation. Faith, action, sisterhood.

Every day we show up, we take action, and we get it done. Join us to see LOVE IN ACTION.

UWF Monthly Gatherings Paused

Our monthly gatherings are taking a break for the summer, and we hope you find time to rest, connect with loved ones, and soak up the joy of the season. We’ll be back together on Monday, September 8, 2025 for our next monthly meeting—and we can’t wait to see you then!
Keep an eye on this page for details as fall approaches. Until then, have a wonderful summer!

Prison and Foster Care

Monday, September 8, 2025 | 9:30 AM | Resurrection Leawood - Room B206

What happens when a woman gives birth in prison?
Who cares for her baby? What happens next?

Join us for a powerful and eye-opening conversation about the realities facing pregnant women in prison—and the children they bring into the world.

You’ll hear from Teresa Tuchscherer, Chairperson of United Women in Faith’s Ministry to Incarcerated Families for over 25 years, who has long advocated for women at the Topeka Women’s Correctional Facility. She’ll be joined by Katy Nall, Program Director of Mission Engagement at Resurrection West and a leader in the Resurrection Foster Adopt Community.

Together, they’ll share firsthand stories and hard-earned insights—highlighting the complex challenges incarcerated mothers face and the compassionate responses that can bring hope and healing to both mother and child.
