Ash Wednesday services at all Resurrection locations will be held on schedule today.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
This year, 2025, marks our 31st year of hosting Community Blood Center’s Blood Drives.
Resurrection has been the Kansas City area’s top blood drive location for over 30 years, helping ensure hospitals have what they need when emergencies happen. Blood donation eligibility has expanded, meaning more people can participate, and each donation can help up to three patients in critical situations. The donation process takes about an hour from start to finish, and donors receive a brief health screening before giving blood. November drives will be held at multiple Resurrection locations throughout the month, making it convenient no matter where you worship or live. You can reserve a specific time slot in advance to minimize your wait, or we accept walk-ins as well. As an added thank you, all November donors will be entered into a drawing for Chiefs tickets—two winners will each receive two tickets and one parking pass for the Chiefs vs. Colts game on November 23. Sign up for one of our November blood drives and be part of something that’s been making a difference in Kansas City for decades. For a full list of times and locations, click here.
Invite everyone you know who is 16 years and older to join you as we try to keep our local blood supply at a safe level.
Can I Donate? The Community Blood Center has a new donor screening process in accordance with updated FDA recommendations. Now, all donors are asked the same risk-based questions, lifting restrictions that prohibited blood donations from gay and bisexual men. To find out if you are now eligible visit: Individual Donor Assessment (IDA) – Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City (CBC) (savealifenow.org). We encourage you to go online and visit the Community Blood Center to get the facts. Reasons for not being eligible to donate may change at any time. If you have been ineligible in the past, there is a good chance you are now be able to donate.
Appointments are strongly encouraged. Please know walk-ins will be safely worked in as space allows. Masks are optional.
