55+ Lunch & Learn with Dena Hildebrand

At 60, Dena Hildebrand discovered a passion she didn’t know she had. A long-time Resurrection member, Dena has since become an award-winning filmmaker with four films to her name, three of them short documentaries that have screened at seven film festivals and earned recognition, including Best Documentary and Best Local Film. On Thursday, July 23, those 55 and older are invited to come hear her story. The morning begins with a screening of her documentary “Mildred’s Escape, A WW2 Survival Story,” followed by a conversation about Dena’s personal journey into filmmaking and her ideas for how each of us can tell our own stories. There will also be time for Q&A. After the presentation, everyone is welcome to stay for a casual lunch together. Registration is $15 to cover the cost of the meal, but if you’d like to attend the presentation only, that option is available at no charge.
