Mark your calendars! The annual Resurrection Car Show and Community Event is back on Saturday, August 17, from 10 am to 3 pm at Resurrection Leawood. This free, family-friendly event is a great way to kick off the fall season with food trucks (purchase required), games, activities, a movie, live radio broadcast, and more! Car enthusiasts, don’t miss the car show starting at 10 am. Proceeds of the event benefit the important work of Resurrection’s Hunger Ministry and Bookmobile. Join us for a fun-filled day as we learn more about the needs of our neighbors.
7:30 am: Gates Open for Car Show Registrants
10 am – 3 pm: Be sure to vote for the car you’d like to see win the “People’s Choice” award!
10 am – 1 pm: Food Court Open with food trucks selling hot and cold drinks, snacks, sweets, and lunch options
1 pm: Car Show Award Winners Announced
1 pm: Disney Pixar’s original movie, Cars, and popcorn in Foundry Hall (indoors)
Sign up to show your car today! Choose from student (FREE!), display, and judged entries. Awards will be provided to judged entries in TEN classes. There will also be one award for Pastor’s Pick and one for People’s Choice. Exhibitors can choose from multiple classes including Foreign and Domestic Sports Cars, Modified, Stock and Muscle!
Sign up to volunteer at the event! We are looking for people interested in judging the car show, checking-in participants, directing traffic, welcoming guests and more.
Support the Event! Individuals and businesses of all sizes can support the Car Show and Community Event by making a tax deductible gift. Your gift will help create a day of fun designed to bring the community together to learn about the needs of our neighbors. Weather – The Car Show and Community Event is a rain or shine event. We will post any updates on this webpage. If the event must be cancelled for severe weather, we will notify registrants by email the morning of the event and invite you all back to next year’s event!
