Get ready for an unforgettable evening in the Foundry at Resurrection Leawood! The annual Matthew’s Ministry Family Night Out returns on Saturday, August 8, with a water-themed Splash Bash for participants ages 15 and under. Doors open at 5 pm for participants (volunteers arrive at 4:30 pm) for this splashy evening of dinner, games, crafts, activities, and a movie. Bring your swimwear and a towel! Volunteers are paired with participants with special needs or their siblings for a night of fun and connection.

Matthew’s Ministry Family Night Out offers a free evening of respite for parents and caregivers of individuals with special needs. Participants are paired with volunteers for a fun night of themed activities, including dinner, games, crafts, and a movie while parents and caregivers have a night out. All ages of participants are welcome, as well as siblings (ages 12 years and younger) of those with special needs. Registration required.

Volunteer:

Numerous volunteers are needed each month to make our event a success!  Volunteers will be paired with a participant with special needs or sibling for the evening. There are also other opportunities to help in the kitchen or with crafts and activities. No experience necessary, just a heart to serve! Volunteers ages 13 years or younger are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult when volunteering.
