Sixth-Grade Summer Serve Trip

If you are currently in 6th grade or just completed it, you will get a “taste” of a Serve Trip by experiencing this three-day experience in Kansas City while sleeping in your own bed every night.  You will be hands-on with six of our partners throughout the city, helping them accomplish their unique mission with the people of our city.  The experience will begin with a Monday evening tour of the city like you have never seen it.  The week will end with a Thursday capstone dinner program where we will share our experiences with family members.  

Resurrection Students will create a safe, authentic, and inclusive community where everyone belongs and has the opportunity to choose to grow and live out their faith.  Here is more detailed information on our best practices and procedures we utilize for trips and retreats to ensure we are creating this environment for our students.

Serve Trips include strenuous outdoor work and recreation in June and July that will require participants to hydrate and eat healthily to guard against heat exhaustion.  Some medications may have an adverse reaction to extreme heat.  Please check with your care provider(s) to determine your fitness for participation prior to registering.

You can pay all at once or in installments.  You will receive notice when each installment is due.

When the trip is full, you can email students@resurrection.church to get on the waiting list in case someone cancels.

If you would like to request a scholarship, please register first with an initial deposit and then complete this form by April 1st.  A staff member will be in contact with you. 

Refund Guidelines: Since payments received for trips are considered for refund, please consult your tax professional to determine the tax deductibility of the trip related expenses. If the trip is cancelled by Resurrection, a full refund of the payments made will be issued.  If unable to attend the trip for which you have registered, funds will be used to cover trip expenses.  Upon request, Resurrection will issue a partial refund in excess of 45 days from the departure date for any payments made less expenses incurred by the church on your behalf.  No refund will be issued if cancellation happens 45 days or less from the departure date of the trip.
