Everyone Is Invited to Shape the Future

The Resurrection Foundation endows and sustains a lasting impact on the church’s ministry and mission. This is made possible through the generosity of individuals who’ve named Resurrection as a recipient of generosity from their estate. Have you thought about remembering Resurrection as part of your legacy? Everyone is invited to be a part of God’s work for generations to come through Resurrection.

Welcome Deliece Hofen!

RESURRECTION FOUNDATION'S NEW DIRECTOR

One of the greatest gifts of stepping into this role has been the opportunity to listen and to hear how God has been at work across generations in the lives of our congregation.

… I find myself filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the faithfulness of God. Gratitude for the lives that have been lived with purpose. And gratitude for the sacred stories I have the privilege of hearing through the Resurrection Foundation. Legacy conversations are never just about financial planning. They are windows into stories of trust, sacrifice, and faith. They remind me again and again that generosity flows from lives well lived and hearts shaped by God’s faithfulness.

Each intention shared, each gift planned, and each act of generosity reflects a story of how God has moved in someone’s life. Together, these stories form a beautiful testimony of God’s goodness, not just in the past, but in the hope we carry forward for future generations.

It is humbling to steward these expressions of faith. The impact you see throughout this report represents far more than numbers. It represents prayers answered, callings supported, ministries strengthened, and lives changed because someone chose to trust God with their story and resources.

Thank you for allowing the Resurrection Foundation to walk alongside you in these sacred moments. It is an honor to bear witness to God’s wonderful deeds through your faithfulness. I look forward to the stories still to come!

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
- Psalm 9:1

The quiet faithfulness behind these gifts is inspiring. Many reflect years of thoughtful planning, prayer and personal values, as well as confidence in the Foundation and trust in God's ongoing work. These acts of generosity are a reminder that ministry does not end with us but continues through meaningful legacies that touch lives and build our future together.

SUMMER INTERNSHIPS FOR STUDENTS

When Caleb Sramak joined the Summer Intern Program, he imagined his future would be in law enforcement. But God had something different in mind. During his internship with the Modern Worship team, Caleb experienced hands-on ministry, was poured into by mentors, and found wisdom through weekly Leadership Impact gatherings. In that season, God began reshaping his calling, awakening in him a passion for worship ministry. Today, Caleb serves part-time at Resurrection, leading students in worship at our West location and helping lead Modern Worship at Leawood and Online. The Resurrection Intern Fund is in place through the Foundation to provide an annual grant to Resurrection, making this life changing ministry possible!

SERVE TRIP SCHOLARSHIPS

Grants from the Seward Mission Trip Fund supporting scholarships for global serve trip participation create meaningful connections with our neighbors around the world, offering experiences that broaden perspectives and deepen compassion. In 2025, we helped deploy 10 people to serve internationally.

AFFIRMATIONS NIGHT OF WORSHIP

A grant from the Traditional Music Fund made it possible to invite the community to Affirmations, where every seat was filled and lives were touched through worship. The Affirmations event is a highly anticipated community event, and drew over 3,000 people to the Resurrection Leawood sanctuary to worship and appreciate incredible music, led by Issac Cates.
