Daily Scripture

Proverbs 29:25 and I John 4:18

People are trapped by their fear of others; those who trust the LORD are secure.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear.

Daily Reflection & Prayer

The Biblical story of Ruth and Naomi is not just one of loyalty—it’s a testimony to how God’s grace works through ordinary relationships to accomplish extraordinary transformation. This week’s GPS journey will explore themes from Wicked, highlighting how friendship, inclusion, humility, and sacrificial love, as a reflection of Christ’s love for us, are truly transformative and powerful. Let this be a week where your prayers open your heart to the kinds of relationships that help us grow more fully into the likeness of Christ.

Spiritual Discipline: Friendship
This week, practice the discipline of spiritual friendship. Reach out to someone with whom you share your faith—perhaps a mentor, a friend, or a fellow church member. Invite them into deeper conversation about how you each see God at work in your life. If possible, pray together or check in midweek to encourage one another. If possible, choose a person who may need to spend time with a friend like you this week. Do you know someone recovering from an illness or who is feeling alone or sad? Ruth and Naomi’s story reminds us that God can use faithful companionship to change the course of history—and our hearts.

Prayer

Loving God,
Thank you for the people who have shaped my life for the better. Teach me to be a faithful companion to others—someone whose love and presence reflect Your own. Open my eyes to those who need encouragement, understanding, or hope. As I walk into this week, help me listen closely, love deeply, and live joyfully. May my life bear witness to the transforming power of friendship in You.
Amen.
