A Community By Moms, for Moms
Building Better Moms, a Resurrection Ministry for Moms, is here to support you in the ways that you need at each life stage, as well as help you find a community you can do motherhood with. Our Building Better Mom’s groups meet at multiple locations at varying times and frequencies so that you can find a group that works for you and your schedule. Every group brings incredible speakers and experts on topics relevant to motherhood and facilitates group conversation!

Building Better Moms FAQs
Yes! Building Better Moms groups meet at our Leawood, West, Lee’s Summit, and Brookside locations. Contact Michelle Jones with questions.
The BBM program follows our local school calendar with the first meeting each program year in September and the last in May. Registration kicks off each year on Mother’s Day weekend (May) for the following program year (Sept.). Register for all groups at the buttons throughout this page.
Some of our groups charge a membership fee. The groups charging a membership fee include childcare opportunities and other elements that the other groups may not. Individual location and group registrations will have more information. There are always scholarships available for any group. Feel free to reach out to Michelle Jones for more information.
Yes! Some groups fill to capacity right away in May, while others reach the maximum number during the summer.
If a group reaches our set number of members, you can indicate that you’re interested in a group that has filled. We will then be in touch with you to discuss all of the options that we might have available for you! Our goal is to accommodate as many moms as possible into each and every group!
Groups are held to a maximum number in order to allow friendships to form within table groups. Consistency is important for relationships to take hold and for moms to begin sharing their true bumps and blessings. An important network of moms who “get it” grows into a lifeline in this manner. Additionally, the volunteer leadership of each group is equipped through training sessions to manage a set number of participating moms, rather than an evolving set of new names and faces. Our goal is to accommodate every mom who is interested in joining.
Resurrection Moms
Resurrection Moms is a group for moms of all ages and stages that meets monthly at our Overland Park, Lee’s Summit, and Brookside locations. To register for Resurrection Moms, and learn about meeting dates and times, click the location button below.
What is Building Better Moms?
Imagine… a place that meets you right where you’re at as a mom, a woman and a friend.
Building Better Moms offers groups based on ages of children, so that a mom can connect with other moms who have children at similar ages and stages. Check the group dates carefully to select the right one for you.
Everyone must register to attend.

Stretch your brain with this thought provoking ancient Chinese game. We are currently welcoming all levels. If you’ve never played, we will teach you. We just ask that you please RSVP since we need to set up tables and possibly have multiple moms bring their sets.
This group typically meets from 9:30-11:30 AM in the Narthex of Building A on Mondays.

This fun group of ladies meets at noon on the first Tuesday of every month to discuss a book while eating lunch together at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. Usually, the next month’s book is selected while everyone is together.
