We believe Resurrection is the best place to raise a family and we want to partner with you in the formation of your child’s faith.
On this page you will find a variety of resource and opportunities to engage with our community here at Resurrection.
Here are your next steps:
Join Jason Gant, the Kids & Families Pastor at Resurrection, as he interviews experts and covers topics to better equip parents in their child’s faith growth and character development. You’ll hear inspiring stories, practical tips, and meaningful messages that help you grow not only as a parent, but also in your relationship with God.
With Parents interviews Dr. Andy Jacobs, one of the first sport psychologists to work with a US Olympic team, a professional team and a university athletic department. You’ll hear tips around choosing the right coach for your kid, how to instill a positive attitude, character development, and what to say and not to say during the all-important car ride conversation after a game!
With Parents interviews with Matt Williams, former Duke University catcher and top rated high school catcher who was drafted by the Chicago Cubs. He owned his own club baseball company here in Kansas City and is a father of three young kids. What does it look like to ‘get it right’ as a parent when you have competitive player? How to navigate the club sports scene and more?
With Parents interviews Shannon Roesgen, swim instructor in the KC area who also offers a step by step FREE training video for parents and their kids as the second part of the interview.
With Parents interviews children’s book author, Dayonne Richardson, who is a Kansas City public school teacher. Her books give kids an understanding of God’s power in their lives and even come with a stuffed doll for love and comfort.
Resurrection strives to be a church that loves, cares, and shapes kids and their families into an active life of discipleship. We support and equip families and their children by providing safe, fun, and engaging faith development environments where every child (6 weeks – 5th grade) experiences the love of God and where every parent/guardian has the support and encouragement needed in nurturing their family’s faith.
In Kids Ministry programs we want to create a weekend experience (and Mid-week) that become the best times of the week for kids. We hope to create spaces where kids have fun and learn about Jesus through scripture, teachings and song, movement-oriented curriculum, connection with each other and their leaders, and by learning to serve God by serving others with the gifts God has uniquely given them.
