Unfortunately today was certainly an opportunity for our team to practice flexibility and good decision making. One of our team members tested positive for COVID today. After discussions with our hosts we limited our activities to preparation for an open house for an amazing orogram called Freedom Schools. They provide educational support programming for K-8. They support roughly 130 children with a waiting list.
Tomorrow will be our last activity for this trip and we will get to spend the morning working in their community garden under the supervision of a master gardener.
The amount of work the Church for all People does for their community is almost overwhelming to process in a short time, but we got so many ideas that could benefit our own faith community!
