Costa Rica Wednesday

See God waking the world.

Team Katy Costa Rica (TKCR) decided to experience a Costa Rican sunrise. That meant getting up at 5 am. The adventurous team walked down a very muddy road, through a sugar cane field to a hilltop. Unfortunately, the sugar cane was very tall and they couldn’t see the sunrise, but they saw it upon their return to the Costa Rica Mission Project. Team member Bill said it was like watching God waking the world.

We are happy to report that the deck is finished. Since the sunrise excursion got everyone up early, TKCR started working an hour earlier than the other days and it was a day without rain, which kept the disruptions to a minimum. Of course, we still had breakfast, a watermelon break, lunch, second lunch, and dinner which did shorten our work day some.

TKCR attended a worship service in the evening. God did more waking as each of us felt the Holy Spirit’s presence. The small congregation greeted each of us with hugs, big smiles, and words of welcome. A member of their praise team even translated some of the songs for us so that we could sing along. Kindnessand care for all was present and felt.
