Costa Rica - Day 1

After a groggy early morning roll call at 4:30am, the Costa Rica Student ministries team consisting of 20 junior and senior high school students and 5 adult leaders departed from KCI without a hitch. Though still half asleep we boarded our flight and landed in a wet and foggy San Jose, Costa Rica full of excitement.

We then embarked on a nearly four and a half bus ride through stunning mountains and local architecture as the rain continued to come down. Just in time for dinner and right after the rain subsided we arrived at the Costa Rica Mission Project location, our home for the next 6 days.

The sun had gone down, the crickets were singing and the staff was welcoming with a warm dinner. After this long nearly 16 hour journey we still had enough energy to end the night with a powerful moment of worship and prayer. We are ready to begin our ministry and excited for what is ahead of us.
