Happy Wednesday from Bun Bun!

My friends woke this morning and enjoyed a beautiful devotion sent to us from Easter via Julie about getting out of our comfort zone and connecting with people no matter what the first impression.

We had a delicious pancake breakfast with fresh fruit and eggs before heading back to the work site. We continued our work on landscape gravel, soffit installation and trying to complete the baseboard project. Our friend Maria stopped by to say hi and check our work before heading to school.

For lunch we had pork, rice, salsa and pork rinds. One of my friends was celebrating her birthday so we had lunch cake!

We returned to the worksite to finish up some projects and then headed back to CRMP in the afternoon. Some friends played with kids at the onsite daycare while others got cleaned up for dinner and evening church.

My friends heard a devotion from Erica on receiving and then enjoyed a noodle dish and potato chips for dinner. We then packed up and headed to the church we have been working on for a midweek church service. My friends sang “This Little Light of Mine,” during the service and my besties read a poem. At the end there was a prayer circle where Katy prayed in English and Pastor Jeimy prayed in Spanish. We then realized a church member had a birthday too, so everyone sang to the two birthday girls. Then the church brought in coffee and prestinos as a birthday treat. We were happy to see our friends Maria and Samuel at church as well. It was a lovely service and a great day.
