Honduras - Day 4

7/16/24

Honduras: July 13-20, 2024

Our team had an amazing day in El Obraje! This morning, we made great strides on the pilas. Our team is becoming quite adept at mixing concrete using the “volcano” method and laying bricks. It’s incredible to see everyone working together so seamlessly, and the progress we’ve made is a testament to our collective effort and God’s guidance.

This afternoon was a true highlight as we welcomed over 80 children to Vacation Bible Club (VBC)! The joy and excitement they bring are infectious, and we’re absolutely loving our time with them. Their eagerness to learn and play makes every moment special, and we feel so blessed to be part of their lives.

After a hearty dinner, we were honored to join Pastor Ramon and the congregation of La Cofradía Iglesia Metodista in Danlí for worship. The service was deeply moving, and it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our Honduran brothers and sisters in faith. The sense of community and shared devotion was truly uplifting.

A fun fact we learned today: Rigo was just 22 when he was mentored by Pastor Ramon. It’s inspiring to see the lasting influence of Pastor Ramon’s mentorship on Rigo’s life and faith journey.

Reflecting on today, our hearts are full of gratitude for the chance to serve and grow with this beautiful community. God’s presence is evident in every brick laid, every smile shared, and every prayer lifted. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds for us!
