Honduras - Day 4

10/9/24

Honduras: October 5-12, 2024

Hello everyone, this is Matt from the Honduras trip. Unfortunately, our usual blogger Maddie is out sick but is being treated by resident doctor and translator Renzo. Please remember her in your prayers.

Other than that we had another very fun day today.

We stared today by watching Despicable Me 4 in spanish! Fortunately we were able to figure out the plot. For the most part 😬.

Like yesterday we worked with our students on English, Art, Music and theater. Here’s a picture of Teresa and translator Bessy teaching art to the young students.

After class we moved on to lunch which was special because we shared it with the school’s teachers and faculty.

We also got to celebrate one of the teacher’s birthday.

After lunch was vacation Bible school where we did some fun games and activities with the children.

Here’s a photo of one of the games we played with the kids.

We also got a group photo with all of the kids today. The one’s with sheets of paper won a contest about knowing the most Bible books! How fun!

While it’s always sad to say goodbye some of us still had even more fun on the way home. Those of us riding with Milton got to go past a coffee roasting plant. We opened the windows to have a smell and it made us thirsty for coffee. Yum!

For dinner we had my personal favorite meal yet. Alfredo spaghetti with sausage. Delicioso!

Following that was a thoughtful discussion during devotions where we talked about how exciting of a week we’ve been having.

That all today from Tegucigalpa Honduras. Tomorrow is pajama day at school so let’s hope it saves us some time in the morning. 😁
