Honduras - Day 7

After a week of serving, today was our opportunity to immerse ourselves in the beauty and culture of Honduras. It was a day filled with reflection, fellowship, and joy as we explored some of the country’s most memorable sites.

Our first stop was the artisan hub of Valle de Ángeles, where we explored shops filled with handmade crafts, colorful art, and souvenirs that reflect the creativity of the Honduran people. Many of us found treasures to bring home as reminders of this experience.

From there, we traveled to the charming town of Santa Lucía. Over cups of rich Honduran coffee, we enjoyed sweeping mountain views and the peaceful atmosphere of this historic village. It was a moment to pause, savor, and give thanks.

Our journey continued to the towering Christ statue in Tegucigalpa, where we took in breathtaking views of the capital city. Standing beneath the statue reminded us of the faith that unites people across borders and the hope we carry home from this trip.

We ended the day with a team dinner, sharing stories, laughter, and gratitude for the week we’ve spent together. Tomorrow, we return home carrying not only memories of service but also the cultural richness and hospitality we’ve experienced.

This trip has strengthened our faith and deepened our sense of purpose. We look forward to seeing how it will impact our lives in the future. We give heartfelt thanks to the Honduran people for their warmth and generosity, and to our translators whose guidance made this journey possible.
