Honduras: July 18 - 25, 2026

Little Moments. Lasting Impact.

Another day in Honduras reminded us that sometimes the simplest activities leave the biggest impressions.

The art team introduced students to the magic of salt art. Armed with white glue, salt, watercolor paint and a little curiosity, blank sheets of paper quickly transformed into colorful masterpieces. Watching the students’ faces light up as the watercolor danced across the salt was a reminder that wonder doesn’t require expensive materials—just a little creativity.

Meanwhile, the music team scored another victory with “G.O.A.L.,” one of the songs from Resurrection’s Vacation Bible Camp program. Before long, voices were singing, hands were moving and smiles filled the room. Music has a remarkable way of breaking barriers and it’s been a joy to watch students embrace every note with such enthusiasm.

Outside, another meaningful milestone took place. After days of hard work, we gathered with members of the church and community to dedicate the newly reimagined sports court. Together, we prayed over the space, asking God to use it as more than just a place to play. We prayed that it would become a place where friendships are built, laughter is shared, character is developed and young people feel loved and welcomed.

Standing together around that freshly transformed court was a powerful reminder that ministry often looks like paintbrushes, sweat, prayers and people coming together with a common purpose.

As each day passes, we’re discovering that this trip isn’t just about the projects we complete. It’s about planting seeds of hope, creating spaces where children can thrive and reminding one another that God is always at work—even through a butterfly painting, a song or a freshly striped basketball court.

We ended the evening at the feet of Jesus. El Picacho overlooks Tegucigalpa and is one of the most recognizable landmarks. The view in the evening is spectacular! Hovering above the big city, the twinkling lights down below, and something extra special…fireworks! A rivalry soccer matched was played and fireworks accompanied the winning team’s victory!

We’re excited for all that tomorrow holds and continue to be grateful for the privilege of serving alongside this incredible community.
